Hello!
I'm a Canadian citizen and I've been accepted to NOVA and UDM. I have pending interviews at Toronto and CWRU. I know that studying in the US compared to Canada is extremely expensive but I also know that schools like UDM and CWRU have excellent clinical programs, which would make me a better dentist at the end of the day. It is hard to decide if it's worth it to spend an extra 300K on a better clinical experience. Has anyone gone through this same issue? I would like to know opinions about the following:
- how hard is it to pay off debt after graduation? is it a scary and looming ordeal?
- does the area matter in terms of the connections you could possibly make? I know U of Toronto's clinical program isn't as strong as UDM but Toronto is a major city with a lot of connections.
- does the clinical experience at a particular school really matter say like 5 or 6 years after graduation?
- what do you think is the most important thing after graducation?
