Is anyone else flipping out about taking out these enormous loans?

I'm not sure if they have Guinness at the "Loose Caboose" down in Cumberland Gap, but they do have several beers on tap, at least it's something
Guinness, not Budweiser! GUIINNNEESSSS... j/k, sorry, I was dying for an opportunity to use that one.
TXDO, did I interview with you? I interviewed on the Monday after Thanksgiving (I think?).
Yippee!
I emailed Janette today to find out how the waitlist is being handled this year ie ranked or whatnot. I have about 7 days before I have to make my final choice and I'm praying that someone decides to go elsewhere and I get that call. I know in the end we all will be doctors but I believe LMU is the place I should get my degree from.... As so as I hear from her I will post and let you all know.
See you guys soon. Can't wait

This isn't what your post said earlier today...
I read it earlier and was going to come back and respond, but no need I guess haha.

Good luck! By the way, after seven days, would a lease be your only obstacle to taking DCOM if it opened up?
FWIW---heard today that Mr. Debusk put a bid on the Hospital in Middlesboro. Apparently he was trying to find a way build one for a while and this sort of made more sense.
Was told that the theory behind it was, "well he's trainin' all these damn doctors, he needs a place to work em!!"
I just received a call from Dr. Stower's yesterday...I'm in off the waitlist!! I had just about completed my 2010 AACOMAS application. I am so pumped!....sighs....stiillllllll waiting on the wait list.
histobob-
just curious when did you interview and when were you waitlisted? I was waitlisted 4/9... sigh

Don't give up FDOA, there's still a lot of time for things to change. Best of luck to you!

Last day of classes for OMS-1 today! Just one week left! Yay!
(Not so much for all the OMS-2's out there!)
congrats man... surprised you had a tough time getting in at jackson... good luck. I kinda did the opposite... turned down state md to go to DCOM... whatever makes you happy.I was recently pulled off of the waitlist at my state MD school 45 min from home and can't pass that up. I loved this school and wish all those who attend and the one lucky one who gets my spot the absolute best. Good luck and God Bless!

No one has heard anything? Maybe it's b/c the school is wrapping up the end of the year?
Anyway. Couldn't stand to let this thread get to the bottom half of the page. Sorry if the bump got someone's hopes up.
Girl! Do you think I would have let you read it on here? nono. When it happens, there will be a couple of hysterically excited phone calls. And you and roomie will be on that list.Dangit! I got so excited for a second there...
So I'll be starting this fall and I recently tore my Ulnar Collateral Ligament and might need Tommy John surgery this summer (sucks... there goes golf, motorcycle, fishing, anything that involves not being lazy). Will I miss out on a lot of OMM if I do this surgery this summer? I will have limited range of mobility and wont be able to lift much weight at all for about 2-3 months. I hear that it shouldn't be a (large) prob since a lot of the first OMM stuff is muscle energy and I could use my other arm. Any opinions?
